I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, and right now, we are working our way out of a deep freeze. I am very ready for Spring and some nice, warm weather. I have been married to my husband for nearly 16 years, and this year, we are entertaining the thought of taking on the task of beginning to build a new house. I am keeping my fingers crossed, because I have been wanting this for a pretty long time now. I have been crafting (cards) for about 1-½ years now. It all started when I quit my job of 16 years to stay home with my 4 kids. It started out being a supplement to our income to pick up where quitting my job left off. I sold my cards on eBay for awhile, and then I branched out into the blog world and began working on a design team and really discovered a whole new world of crafting out there. It has been such a fun adventure, and I have met so many wonderful and talented people along the way. I am very excited and honored to be a part of the very first McMahon Five Design Team. Sue has some of the most interesting and unique varieties of crafting supplies that I have seen. Something to suit anyone’s style of creating. I must admit though, that the one thing that I became addicted to was the wood paper that Sue introduced us all to, and now it is a staple in my supply closet. It is the most unique item that I think she carries, and it really does make for a beautiful creation every time it is used. I am looking forward to working with Sue and the DT and hope to meet many new people along the way. I appreciate being given this wonderful opportunity. Thank you, Sue!

I live in Boise, Idaho, with my doggie, Chloe, and my cat, Tuxie. I love all types of crafting but now my favorite is papercrafting. My style is quite eclectic from romantic, shabby chic to cute and simple. I started making cards while I was away from home Christmas 2007 and wanted to do something special for my friends and family. I made a few cards here and there until I started blogging and saw all the beautiful inspiration in blogland and the rest his history. I now love playing with my paper and am completely hooked. I love butterflies, lavender (actually, herbs in general), cupcakes, hearts, chocolate, and my garden (not necessarily in that order; it depends on the day), oh, and how could I forget, cookies.

I reside in Central Oregon with my husband of 13 years and our 2 daughters, ages 9 and 11, who also love to make cards and blog their creations! I've been stamping for about 5 or 6 years now (maybe longer--time flies when you're havin' fun!). Having started my blog, Ink Something in 2006 I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing my creations, being inspired by many of your blogs, and the best part... making new friends! I was asked to be on my first Design Team in 2009, which was the beginning of a wonderful (and busy) year for me! The Lord has certainly blessed me this past year with Design jobs and they have rolled over into this year as well! I'm still learning how to balance everything from PT secretary, to mommy, to wife, to craft-addict, (not in that order). But none of it would be possible without the support of my family. I became a customer of McMahon Five Designs a few short months ago and fell in love with all the gorgeous wood paper and pearls, digis and gems... and now I am so thrilled that Sue has asked me to join her first Design Team! What an honor! Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity.

I live in Albuquerque, NM with my husband and three sons. I’ve been crafting my whole life. When I was given an allowance as a child, you could always find me in the crafting section of the toy stores my parents would take me to. It’scarried over into my whole life. When I seesomething I like, I want to try and make it myself. I design beaded jewelry along with the paper crafting that’s taken over my whole house in the past couple of years. I love sewing and yarn (even though I don’t really know what I’m doing with it!) and basically want one of every color of anything that catches my interest. I met Sue about a year ago through eBay and we’ve been sharing our crafting inspirations every since then. Thanks, so much Sue for having me on your first Design Team. I’m really looking forward to this fun experience.

I live in New Mexico with a big giant wonderful family and fabulous friends! I have been crafting my entire life. My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was very young and that's when it all started. I have experimented with all mediums but paper has been my favorite for the last two years or so. I love making altered items and things outside of the box. I love meeting new people and I think that is one of the best things about this creative world people are so loving and supportive of one another. I just adore that. I am so honored to be a part of the team and I hope I can inspire others to have fun while crafting. It is just too therapeutic!!!!

I live in Wheaton, Illinois with my husband of 24 years Ray. We have three children-twins Katie and Christopher age 22 (seniors in college) and Stephanie (senior in High School). We have a Cockapoo named Peanut. I work as a Registered Nurse. I enjoy creating and started with sewing and needlework. I tried my hand at art, but was never very good at it. My inspiration was my Mother who is a fabulous artist (she teaches porcelain painting currently). When I discovered rubber stamping- where the images were drawn for me, I went wild! I joined Splitcoast Stampers and Technique Junkies and took every class I could sign up for. I still love to learn new ‘techniques’ and try new things. I started blogging and joined my first DT less than a year ago, and now am enjoying the challenges as well. I enjoy working with Digital images and found McMahon Five just recently. I fell in love with the Digi’s that look like ‘regular’ rubber stamps, and I really love being able to create with images that I can ‘size’ for cards, ATC’s…or whatever I am creating. I love that there are so many other great supplies in the McMahon Five Store as well. I am so honored to join the DT at McMahon Five!

I live in Maryland with my husband, dad and my precious fur babies. We have four beautiful grandsons & two daughters.
I've been retired for the past 11 years after working for 35 years with the Government. My love for crafting began as a small child introduced to me by my Mom. A Christmas did not go by without getting a craft under the tree. My Mom was my mentor who shared her love for crafting with me. I began seriously crafting when I retired using my computer as the main tool. I began drawing templates of gift bags & boxes using my computer and Paint Shop Pro. I would create layouts for the templates by using digital scrapbook papers and embellishments. I did this for 9 years. Then one day a new guest came to my home and his name was Cricut. I joined lots of crafting groups online and I was amazed at all the wonderful things you could make with the Cricut. My interest then turned to making greeting cards and I've been making them for the past two years to present. So in the interim I've learned to use rubber stamps, coloring with Copic markers, water coloring with Distress Inks, and currently coloring with Prisma color pencils. And now I am using digital stamps to decorate my cards too. I guess you can say that I have a passion for paper, pretty paper.
I am so honored to be part of the Design Team with McMahon Five Designs where I will share my love for crafting. And hope my creations will inspire you.

I have used needle and thread as my ‘artistic’ outlet almost exclusively since I was a pre-schooler (think needle, wool and ‘pictures’ on my dolls blankets.) This was followed by sewing for myself and then my family, knitting, smocking, various other types of embroidery, crochet lace, needle lace then bobbin lace making.
About 11 years ago I was introduced to, and subsequently seduced by, stamping, and card making........ I dare not try scrap-booking, my DH would despair. I cannot say that I have any one particular genre, rather I am an eclectic card maker, tending to CAS, but able to ramp it up if I feel in the mood!!
I have done one other DT stint, and was honoured to be asked to be on the DT for McMahon 5 Design.

Hi there! My name is Michelle, I live in sunny Florida and I am a stay at home paper crafter.
I live with my husband, my sister, two cats and our dog. I have a daughter who just graduated college and my son works in investment finance. Life is good.
I first started this crafting journey when a friend of mine hooked me up with ATC cards four years ago. From there I fell in love with making cards, then altered items and scrapbook pages.
Now, I teach card making to a wonderful group of ladies at our community club house. Not a day goes by that I am not in my craft room working on something. Love it!

Michelle Pearson (My Blog)
Design Team Member
Hello from beautiful Wisconsin! My name is Michelle Pearson, and I am a stay-at-home-mom of two active children, a 4th grade boy and a 4 year old girl. Married 18 years to the best friend a girl could ever ask for. He has put up with my stamping hobby for 18 years! I started out in a shoe box all those years ago, thinking that I could move into a rubbermaid tub and that would be all I would ever need to make cards! These days I’ve got a stamping studio that I love to spend time in, and my Copics alone would fill that little shoe box! I also love digital images....they add such fun options to papercrafting. I teach technique-based workshops from my home weekly. I love Copics, Glitter, Alcohol Inks, Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, Distress Inks, Paper Embroidery and just about any other crafty option there is for stamping! My style changes with the stamps I’m creating with; I can be clean and simple or incredibly detailed! Other things I enjoy when I’m not stamping would be reading, baking, gardening and biking. I look forward to sharing my creations and getting to know you all!

Hello! My name is Angie Gooder and I live in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, also known
as Minnesota. I have been married for 20 years to my wonderful husband and we have
two teenage boys. I have been stamping since 1995. I was invited to a Stampin'Up!
party and have been addicted to card making since that fateful day sixteen years ago!
My grandma loved making handmade cards. I would watch her when I was a little girl as
she would cut, fold and glue LOTS of glitter on her creations. We would exchange cards
on a weekly basis. I loved getting her cards in the mail! Sadly, she passed away earlier
this year, but I thank her for passing the crafting gene my way! I have been an active fan
club member at Splitcoaststampers and have just started my first blog. A special thank
you to Sue for giving me the opportunity to join the M5D team. I look forward to sharing
my creations with all of you!

I am on the M5D Design Team as well as being one of the Illustrators for M5D. My line is called Studio 313 Exclusive Designs. I live in Michigan with my husband of 19 years and our 3 children 9, 7 and 6. I started stamping about 14 years ago when my Mom invited me to a Stampin’ Up! party. Well, it only took one party to get this Paper Lover hooked on stamping. I was an ‘on the side’ demonstrator for 9 years. My full time accounting job seemed to get in the way of paper crafting! LOL! After many life changes, I was given an opportunity to go into business for myself. I had the chance to do something I loved so I went for it. McMahon Five Designs has grown so much in the first two years. I can only imagine what’s ahead. I have been extremely blessed by meeting new friends, customers and seeing incredible creations with the products we offer. You all bring a smile to my face. Thank you for warming my heart with your kindness and shared stories everyday. May God Bless You All! |
